Ah, Wrightwood. Our beautiful, alpine town is nestled in the San Gabriel Mountains just outside of busy Los Angeles. With a small population of roughly 4000 people, folks who find their way to Wrightwood, whether to live or just to visit, typically agree... Wrightwood is a pleasant surprise! A slice of solitude and beautiful outdoor surroundings await, and it's all just an easy 75-mile drive from downtown L.A... no mountain roads required!

In the winter, Wrightwood is a popular ski destination, and in the spring and summer it attracts many outdoor enthusiasts hiking the several nearby trails. Hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail frequent Wrightwood as a stop along their way, and they're often seen around town at the local coffee shops, bars, and restaurants.
Though small, Wrightwood has a lovely downtown area and is an active and friendly community. The Navitat Wrightwood Welcome Center, located on Park Drive, is in the heart of town. Once you arrive, we're certain you will want to stay awhile, so check out the info below for ideas about things to do and where to stay.

We have a feeling that once you see Wrightwood, you're going to want to stay awhile and enjoy this great community! The Wrightwood Lodging Association offers a variety of options from Bed and Breakfasts, to Inns, and Cabins. Devlin Realty (located next door to the Navitat Welcome Center) offers vacation home rentals as do Park Place Realty and Country Life Realty. For such a small town, there are a surprising amount of activities in Wrightwood!
For starters, you can take a drive up to Inspiration Point (just a couple of miles past the Navitat site) and catch gorgeous views of Mt. Baldy (10,068 ft) and Mt. Baden Powell. From here, on a really clear day, you can see all the way out to Catalina Island! The Pacific Crest Trail also crosses over Hwy 2 here, and it's a great place to do some day hiking! You might even get to talk to some PCT thru-hikers as many of them make a stop in Wrightwood. For a list of nearby hikes, click here.
Mountain High Ski Resort is a major attraction in the winter, but they also have an awesome disc golf course at their North Slope during the summertime! This would be a great supplement to your canopy adventure!
Park Dr, downtown Wrightwood, offers a variety of shops and restaurants and makes for a great way to spend an afternoon. There is often live music at some of the local spots, expecially on nights and weekends. Every friday, there is a fantastic outdoor farmers market downtown next to the community center.
There are two places to play pool in Wrightwood, The Wrightwood Inn on Hwy 2 and The Raccoon Saloon on Evergreen St.

The Grizzly Cafe is a family style restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner located on Hwy 2.
The Village Grind is an awesome coffee shop right dowtown on Park Dr. that serves sandwiches all day and beer and wine at night.
If you're looking for some delicious mexican food and possibly a margarita, Mexico Lindo and Seafood located downtown on Evergreen St. is a sure bet!
The Blue Ridge Inn on Park Dr. is Wrightwood's only fine dining restaurant and it doesn't dissappoint. It's directly across from our welcome center.
The Yodeler on Park Dr. is a nice place to sip on some draft beers and they have a full menu as well. You can sit outside and it's also just right across the street from Navitat's welcome center.
The Evergreen Cafe on Evergreen St. is also a great spot for breakfast and lunch.
Mile High Pizza on Cedar Dr. serves delicious takeout- only pizza.
For those of you with a sweet tooth, try out Applewood Court on Evergreen St. for fudge and ice cream, Joe Mudd's Coffee and Pie Shop at the end of Park Dr. for some pie and guitar perusing (what a combination!), or Cinnamon's Bakery on Hwy 2 for fresh baked goods.
