Accessing The “Inaccessible”

In his book Steep Trails, published in 1918, John Muir famously described the San Gabriel Mountains by saying:

“Not even in the Sierra (Nevada) have I ever made the acquaintance of mountains more rigidly inaccessible. The slopes are exceptionally steep and insecure to the foot of the explorer, however great his strength or skill may be…”

Today, Bonsai Design Inc. (the building crew owned by John Walker, a principal owner of Navitat) is trekking around on, quite possibly the same, steep, rugged piece of property in the San Gabriel Mountains that John Muir explored 100 years ago.  They are working hard to build a canopy tour that will open this summer.  Lucky for us, once it’s done, Navitat guests will do most of their exploration from the sky above while traversing on ziplines between extremely tall pine trees!

Congratulations on your awesome vision! I am delighted to see this clean energy and natural adventure come to the US. I wish you all the best! I love the Navitat concept too.
