Navitat Canopy Adventures Hires Environmental Programming Leader
BARNARDSVILLE, N.C. – NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES, a world-class zip line canopy tour near Asheville, has hired Sarah Marcinko as Environmental Programming Leader.
Marcinko is responsible for creating interpretative educational programming for Navitat guests, and providing environmental resource analysis and management of the tour site.
“Sarah is a great addition to our team,” said Ken Stamps, Managing Partner of NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES. “She brings expertise in conservation, environmental management and education, which is a perfect complement to our commitment to provide an authentic tree canopy tour experience with as little impact on the natural landscape as possible.”
Prior to joining NAVITAT, Marcinko was a plant ecologist and project manager with Equinox Environmental Consultation and Design in Asheville. She holds a master’s of science in ecology from UNC-Chapel Hill, a bachelor’s of science in biology from James Madison University and a diploma of horticulture from Haywood Community College. She is a resident of Asheville.

NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES showcases the breathtaking natural beauty of a 242-acre serene mountain cove, located just 20 minutes north of downtown Asheville. The canopy tour course is entirely tree-based and features two sky bridges, two rappels, and 10 zip lines ranging from 120 to 1,100 feet in length -- including one that sends guests soaring more than 200 feet above the forest floor.
