Navitat. What's that?
Finding a word to describe this unique experience proved challenging, so we made up our own. “Navitat” combines “navigation” with “habitat;” two words that express our passion and relate to your adventure with us.
Navigation, or course-plotting, is where all great adventures begin. Concentrating not only on where we go but also on how we get there is part of the Navitat Difference. The course fits perfectly with the land, nestled along a serene mountain stream and soaring across the deep valley. Designing all the course elements to highlight the land’s natural beauty is an integral part of our plan.
Habitat, our home or environment, is something we revere. As a tree based adventure, we respect our forest home. We seize every opportunity to share our knowledge of forests. We want you to know how we respect and care for the forest, and how we decide what trees will support our needs. We are passionate about sustaining habitat, practicing only necessary construction with strong ethical devotion to living systems.
Sustainability in our canopy tours is part of our original game plan. Navitat has deep expertise in designing courses that fit seamlessly into their natural environment, leaving the smallest footprint on the land. We use environmentally sound products and available timbers onsite whenever possible. We incorporate expert installation methods that are minimally intrusive to the trees and other natural features. Simply put, we build environmentally sustainable programs that stand the test of time.
