A Sales Guide serves as a customer service agent and sales clerk for gift shop area. 

Summary of Essential Job Functions:  

• Greets all Navitat guests and facilitates check in procedures
• Pre-screens all Navitat guests and makes them aware of safety concerns
• Acts as a Navitat sales clerk
• Operates Point Of Sale register for retail items
• Maintains Welcome Center cleanliness including restrooms
• Imports photos from tours and creates photo packages with a USB
• Takes walk-in reservations using Resmark software
• Provides excellent customer service to all Navitat guests
• Monitors all guest questions and concerns 

Qualifications:  

• Personality traits necessary to the position include dynamic, outgoing, and friendly
• Front desk, customer service or retail experience required (including monetary transactions)
• Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable speaking in front of large groups
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential
• Computer skills are a must; experience with MAC is a plus
• Must be flexible with scheduling and irregular work shifts

Physical Abilities Required:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• This position may require standing for long periods of time

Job Specifics: 

• The Sales Guide position is a seasonal job. Start times may vary, however, Navitat will close on December 1st, 2013
• Sales guides must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Navitat makes no guarantee regarding the amount of hours a sales guide will receive. Hours fluctuate based on the number of tours.
• Sales guides may be placed on a standby basis.

The Assistant Canopy Guide position is a unique employment opportunity that comes with unique considerations. Please review the following information carefully to determine if this position will fit your needs.

Note: There are two Canopy Guide positions available at Navitat; the Assistant Canopy Guide position, and the Lead Canopy Guide position. All Canopy Guides start in the Assistant Canopy Guide position. 

Work Schedule:

• The Canopy Guide position is a seasonal job. Start times may vary, however, Navitat will close on December 1st, 2013.
• Due to the nature of this industry guides may be required to work long hours and irregular shifts in all weather conditions. 
• Guides must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Guides are required to work most Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all season.
• Guides are required to have a valid email address and daily access to email
• Navitat makes no guarantee regarding the amount of hours a guide will receive. Hours fluctuate based on the number of guests.
• Working outdoors with the general public requires the ability to adjust quickly to any situation, all while managing risk and providing excellent customer service.
• Canopy guides may be placed on a standby or on-call basis.
• All Canopy Guides will be required to sign a seasonal hiring contract prior to starting work. Training:

• Assistant Canopy Guide training is a seven day, ten hour a day commitment.
• Assistant Canopy Guides are required to attend the entire length of the training in order to be eligible for employment.
• Assistant Canopy Guides must pass both written and practical tests with an 80% or better to successfully complete the training.
• Initial training will require trainees to deliver a high-quality educational experience, manage risk, master the use of canopy tour equipment, perform timed high-angle rescues, provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Canopy Guides will be required to attend and document ongoing trainings throughout the season.
• Canopy Guides will be required to demonstrate physical fitness in order to manage risk as required. Wages and Benefits:

• Starting wages begin at $10.50 per hour with the possibility of performance-based raises. 
• A performance bonus is possible for qualified guides. 
• A health care debit card is available for qualified guides working a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Uniform and Gear:

• Navitat will provide guides with personal protective equipment (harness, helmets, radios, etc.).
• Guides are required to purchase leather gloves, staff shirts, and staff outerwear, provided by Navitat. 
• All guides are required to maintain excellent hygiene and maintain a professional appearance.

driver guides

Driver Guide
Driver Guides are responsible for the safe and timely transport of staff and guests. Driver Guides are also responsible for the maintenance of all Navitat vehicles and roads.
Summary of essential job functions:

• Ensures all vehicle operations are conducted in accordance with Navitat operational procedures
• Provides excellent customer service to all Navitat guests
• Performs pre-departure safety speech and ensures the safety of all persons on board the vehicle
• Performs and logs pre-operation safety inspection of vehicles
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of all vehicles
• Logs maintenance of all vehicles
• Maintains all roads and vehicle related equipment

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of UTV maintenance procedures
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification
• Risk management experience
• Previous experience driving and maintaining Utility Vehicles
• Ability to work long hours and irregular shifts in a multi task environment
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Valid State Drivers License and any additional credentials

Physical abilities required:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• This position may require walking and standing for long periods of time in all weather conditions
• Able to speak in front of large groups effectively

Job specifics:

• Compensation will be commensurate with experience and ability
• Seasonal employment from March through December 1.
